Lessons
I teach guitar and ukulele at the San Diego College of Continuing Education, and I take private students. Group classes and the Finger Fluency method live on their own site.
How booking works

We talk through the moments that need music, your must-play songs, the setup, and I confirm the price.
A short agreement and a 50% deposit reserve your date. The balance is due a week before the event.

Anywhere in San Diego County, from Oceanside and Escondido to La Jolla, downtown and Chula Vista. Events farther away may include a travel fee, which I’ll include in your quote.
I have my own professional sound system and bring it whenever the event needs one. Many small indoor rooms don’t. For an outdoor site, let me know how far the nearest power outlet is.
Yes. For a fuller sound I can add a bass player, a drummer, or both, with harmony vocals. A duo or trio costs more than solo guitar, and I’ll quote it with your date.
Yes. Send it to me at least four weeks before the event and I’ll arrange it for solo guitar. Processionals and first dances are the most common requests.
Both. Ceremonies and formal dinners are usually instrumental classical guitar. For cocktail hours and parties I can add vocals with guitar: Paul Simon, James Taylor, the Beatles and many more.
A sturdy chair without arms, about six by six feet of level space, and shade for outdoor daytime events. Direct sun and damp ocean air are hard on a classical guitar, so a covered spot keeps it in tune.
Spring and fall Saturdays are the first to go, often months ahead. For a weeknight party, a few weeks is usually enough. If your date is close, ask anyway.
